Turning Inward: Using Reflection to Navigate Change

The pause, as reflected by the Hanged Man tarot card, sometimes feels a bit out of our control.

The pause, as reflected by the Hanged Man tarot card, sometimes feels a bit out of our control.

In episode 45, we talked about the pause that comes once you begin a new adventure. You know, the one that happens once you are going with the flow. The pause, as reflected by the Hanged Man tarot card, sometimes feels a bit out of our control. The pause may be us needing time to collect ourselves mid leap or it may be the Universe or Spirit providing a pause for us. Either way, the flow stops. What to do, what to do.

Step one, breathe. Really, just take a breath and get yourself grounded so your mind and your body can settle after being stopped perhaps abruptly.

Step two, it’s time for self-reflection to help you navigate. You may be a journaler like Jessica, a contemplater like Andrea, or have your own way of turning inward. Now is the time to do that. It’s not yet time to turn to your Spirit Team or anyone else. The clarity will come from knowing yourself. You are in a holding pattern as your life is shifting.

Ask yourself a few questions and allow yourself the “pause” to reflect on them thoroughly.

  • How are you feeling about the Leap of Faith you took?
  • What scares you about the leap, the flow, and the stop?
  • What does success look like?
  • What does failure look like?
  • What do you need to do to get the flow moving again by taking actionable steps?
  • What are you learning from this?

The opportunity for evolution is inherent in the pauses that require and allow for self-reflection.

Just as the Hanged Man tarot card depicts a suspended moment, these pauses hold immense potential for growth and self-discovery. By taking those initial deep breaths and grounding yourself, you've already embarked on a journey of understanding.

Now, as you delve into the realms of self-reflection, whether through journaling, contemplation, or your own unique method, embrace this pause as an opportunity to unveil insights that lie within. Your Spirit Team and external guidance can wait; the true clarity emerges from your own introspection. Through pondering questions that stir up your emotions and provoke thought, you're paving the way to reignite the flow and regain momentum as you navigate your shifting life. Honor these moments of stillness, for they hold the seeds of transformation and evolution.
