Going Back to the Basics

Whenever someone comes to us asking about how they should start working on their intuition–or even how they can bring their intuition to the next level, we often find ourselves saying, “Go back to the basics.” But, what does this mean?

It’s both an instructional call and a frame of mind. When we talk about frame of mind, we’re speaking to the idea of curiosity and beginner’s mind–two of the most critical things you need when connecting with Spirit or your intuition.

‍Here’s why:

• You need to be open to new possibilities and ways of doing things to fully access Spirit and your Higher Self
• Getting curious about it all helps you get a better perspective on what you’re receiving (because non-judgement is key when it comes to curiosity) 
• Beginner’s mind keeps the ego from taking over and prevents you from making assumptions or closing off

If you’re just starting out, going “back to basics” looks like getting really firm with your intuitive foundations:

• Grounding your energy
• Clearing your energy
• Protecting your energy
• Understanding your Clairs
• Connecting with your Spirit Team

These core pieces will help open up your intuition and make sure you’re doing it in a way that’s safe and will support you the rest of your life. But I bet your wondering why we would suggest going back to the basics for someone who is a professional reader or very experienced? 

Because the “basics” are ever unfolding and ever-changing. 

You can take those core foundational ideas and go as deep as you want to go with them. To this day, we both will take it back to the basics on a regular basis, meeting ourselves, our intuitions, and our spirit guides where they are at, in this present moment. As readers with decades of experience, we know that not only do our soul evolve on this adventure–so do our intuitions and how we receive and energetically take care of ourselves.
